ESSENCE MUSIC FEST FAB: DAY 3



Mary J. Blige helped close out Day 3 of The ESSENCE Music Fest taking fans through a medley of hit songs and old school dance moves.


She closed out with "Be Without You" and had the crowd sing "I'm Going Down".


Trey Songz hit the main stage.


Trey performed his hit on the charts with Lupe Fiasco called "Out Of My Head."


R&B crooner Kem was also a big hit on the main stage.


The Main Stage Finale was New Edition.



 The fellas' precision and dance moves are still on point. Once Bobby made his "entrance," all 6 members killed it.


Nice to see these guys can still entertain a crowd and are getting along.



Kelly Price was in the super lounge. Stokley Williams hopped on stage to sing a duet with her.

Steve Harvey was the MC on the main stage and he kept the crowd laughing.


ESSENCE MUSIC FEST FAB: DAY 2


Kanye West headlined Day 2 of the 2011 ESSENCE Music Fest. The aisles were jam packed, nobody sitting down, 'Ye put on a 2 hour+ show with the highest energy on tap, and the crowd ate it up:


 Kanye gives it his all. He had Acts 1, 2, and 3 in his performance. 


And Act 3 wrapped up with an INSANE waterfall background. HAUTE.


Yeezy had a team of 20 ballet dancers to join him on stage.

Jill Scott performed and tore it down as well.


El Debarge hit the stage and performed hits like "I Like It" and "Stay With Me."

 Chaka Khan also hit the main stage performing "I Feel For You" and "Ain't Nobody" and "Sweet Thang" and plenty other hits.

Stephanie Mills rocked one of the super lounges.

Eric Benet was also in the super lounges.

The folks in the super lounge were down with O.P.P. while Naughty-By-Nature performed.



ESSENCE MUSIC FEST FAB: DAY 1


 Usher headlined Day 1 of the 2011 Essence Music Festival at the SuperDome in New Orleans, Louisiana


 His entrance was to "OMG" and he flew above the crowd on to the stage riding on this neon green lit plank.


Usher channeling his inner Michael Jackson.

Jennifer Hudson was one of the main attractions at the festival inside the Superdome this year.


She looked amazing in a simple black dress that looked very appropriate for going to a "festival."


Fantasia was there on the main stage.


Macy Gray hit the stage with a bedazzled  microphone.


Charlie Wilson hit the mainstage and brought out that 80s soul and R&B flavor.


Tank rocked out in one of the lounges.


Miguel rocked one of the super lounges.


Soul singer Dwele performed.


Boyz II Men brought their Kooleyhigharmony to the stage.
