Destined for stardom since day one, Porcelan Chalet began trying her hand at songwriting before the age of twelve. While performing in school plays and winning singing competitions around Memphis, she wrote and recorded her first song, “The Best In Me” at age 16. With an already seasoned voice, Porcelan became addicted to the studio and challenging her vocals. “When I’m in the booth, I feel like this is where I’m supposed to be, “she says. “I constantly challenged my emotions, evolving my songwriting abilities and punctuating my own sound. I wanted to be clear as to who Porcelan Chalet really is.”

Currently working on her first independent studio album, set to be released early next year, Porcelan is already getting quite the buzz amongst the independent music world and catching the eyes of some very well-known majors as well. “The girl is a beast and her music is honest,” says her manager Seven Moore. “I’ve never seen someone so determined, so hungry and so damn talented, not to mention she’s drop dead gorgeous!” Her sound is universally appealing in its r&b-soul offerings --infectious hooks are plenty, but the arrangements are intricate in how many layers there are to listen to. Porcelan represents a new breed of female artist. She’s strong and fearless, yet her voice is smooth and sultry, raspy but full and powerful. “I’ve always been a tom-boy, so my songs often have a hip-hop edge, but I still like to keep it pretty.” Porcelan believes as an artist her music should convey a sense of reality, because life is full of heartbreak, love, failure and success.
