Women in Black Music: Jill Scott Steps into the Light of the Sun

Jill's brand new album "The Light of the Sun" is now available.

It was eleven years ago – when a young Philadelphia poetess had us all asking: Who is Jill Scott? With a just-released new album, The Light of the Sun, her own record label, a blossoming acting career, and a confident new understanding of the business of show, Miss Jill Scott lets us all know that she is just getting started–and that she’s here to stay.

Q. Parker (of ATL Group 112) – 1+1 (Beyoncé Cover)

Of all the 90's R&B Groups 112 remains to be my favorite. This is clearly one of the main reasons why. Each member could hold their own vocally against the best during that era. Their earliest hit Cupid is also where my moniker/line name Kupid was derived. Truly one of the greats in music.

Q.

Q. Parker covers Beyoncé’s emotionally ballad “1+1.” Remaining close to the harmony, Q Parker embraces the emotion behind the record. He contributes his vocals over an acoustic version of “1+1.” Q. Parker covers the song with pulsating harmonization that illustrates his range without embellishing his talent. Identifying loves capability to “heal us all” as he “pulls” the lyrics of “1+1” written by The-Dream “close” to his heart & lets “down” his “guard” in order to delivery his soulful cover.

It is evident that Q. Parker formally of 112 understands that music has the ability to affect & change not only the feelings of people but their attitudes. He may not know “much about algebra” but he does know that music has a therapeutic reflection that is relaxing. Q. Parker’s rendition of “1+1” is stimulating, sentimental & tranquil.

“1+1” was written & produced by The-Dream. The track will featured on Beyoncé’s upcoming album “4.”

New Visual Video Stimulation: R. Kelly - Radio Message

R. Kelly is a true artist singing notes that you won't hear in this day and age. He has been at it for more than 20 years and deserves the respect of being the King of R&B. This album is his best work vocally & yet because people are used to the same mundane that is on the radio today, he isn't getting the props he deserves. Those of you who listened to R&B when it was hot in the 90's know what I am referring to. R. Kelly is the best there is was and probably ever will be R&B singer ever! Great song Mr. Kelly!

Kanye West - Blame Game (2011 Unofficial Music Video)(Visualized By Yonie)

I didn't really get this one until the end but WoW! Amazing video...Amazing stoy...Very Sad. The moral of the story is dont watse your time playing the blame game. Life is too short and at any given moment if could be over. Live each day as if it were your last.

"Love is not a destination, it's a journey"-Dreamer

Late Nights and Early Mornings

Love love love the message in this video. Ladies & Gentlemen. If you feel the time is right to become intimate with that special someone. Before you pass Go, PLEASE Make Sure You Protect Yourself.
I also think this was the perfect time to raise awareness for HIV/Aids. Especially when you love someone you shouldn't be careless when it comes to sex. Even though it might seem that way, no one is immune to this disease and with the right precautions it can be prevented. It does take away from the romantic and sexual vibe of the song some, but, it's for the right reasons. Hopefully, to save someone's life. ;^)8

I love how she doesn't have to show so much skin and still be beautiful/sexy. Love the video and the message she is delivering. Go support her and purchase her album...and not the bootleg. I promise you want be disappointed.
