R&B/Neo-Soul recording artist Matthew Funches
Since the age of eight, Matthew Funches knew music had the power to touch people. Growing up in the church, his father as pastor, he saw this firsthand and sought to tap into that power himself. Since then, he mastered the piano and with his unique voice, became the talented artist he is today. Matthew studied music from several aspects, within a variety of genres. His music, which he refers to as “feel good music”, is a soulful blend of R&B, Reggae, Hip-Hop and anything else that speaks to his creative soul.
Currently, Matthew is working on his debut album as an unsigned artist. The album is mostly R&B but infused with many styles for a true representation of Matthew Funches’ fashion. When asked what listeners can expect from this project, Matthew humbly responds from the heart saying his plan is to reach out to his fans by telling his story.
“I have been working with the label for a long time and finally just decided to do it,” said Matthew. “I am so excited and ready to take my career to the next level.”
“I want my first album to make a real statement, telling listeners about my life’s journey.”
Matthew’s lyrics are a rare interpretation of life and emotions, and he feels the raw honesty of the stories he tells, coupled with his eccentrically infused music, separates him from other musicians.
